i'm currently running almost all my data on a 160gb samsung pata drive and i am worried about failure and downtime. i make backup images with acronis every week but i would still not like to have any downtime to happen.

basically what i want to do is create a raid 1 setup with two new larger capacity hard drives. so can someone please recommend me a couple large, quiet, decently fast hard drives and a good controller for running raid-1. my motherboard has a raid controller (nforce3 250gb chipset), but i've been advised it is not the best solution for reliability and performance.

thank you very much. Surprised

EDIT: i'm sorry, i must mention also, i would like to run a raid-1 setup with my 2 os/app discs. so a raid controller which can support 4 hard drives in pairs running raid1. i must seem paranoid to you all but i hate the idea of having downtime for my OS or Data discs.
