Hi everyone, I recently built a PC and everything worked great on the computer for several weeks and then one day the system would no longer start up. I think the system is not POST'ing because when you hit the power button, everything powers on, fans are going, etc... but the system does not beep and the monitor stays on standby mode because it doesn't seem to be getting a signal. I opened the system up and made sure everything was still seated securely, along with checking all plugs in the back to make sure everything was connected. I still had no luck so I reset the motherboard by taking out the battery and moving the jumper over to the clear position as instructed by the manual. After clearing the BIOS, it still would not start.

I believe I have a problem with the motherboard since it doesn't seem to POST but I'm at a loss as to what the problem could be. Any help is sincerely appreciated! The system specs are as follows:

In my experience, the 2 most common pieces of hardware to fail are the power supply and memory.

Test the memory in another machine.
Swap out the power supply with another known good power supply.

You can also strip the pc down to the bare essentials required to get the pc to boot, in order to make trouble shooting easier.
 
I will have to guess dead ram also. Dead ram=no post,no fan spinning. Those were the symptoms when 1 ocz ram died on me.
