i cannot get my new 6800gt to run in AGP x8 i have tried 3 diff drivers 2 different chipset drivers from abits site AND intels reformated and still a score of under 7000 in 3dmark 03
in device manager it reads pci bus 1 but everywhere else including bios it shows up as AGP i have been banging my head against this for at least 8 hours and this is a DESPERATE cry for help
 
well it seems after some tweaking i am just barely topping 8k when i should be getting around 11k redid the motherboard drivers over and over tried lots of drivers detinator destroyer google after google for ideas and tried them all seems my scores for CPU are just fine but the vid card is scoring about 60-65 percent of what it should any ideas? or do i just have to return this card?
 
yes as you see in my sig the 5900XT i had in there was doing just fine im about 2 min from taking this back to best buy and throwing it at them

Ah, I missed that, sorry. Too much multitasking on my end :)
 
i think that this card is on AGP 8 the only place it says PCI is on device manager everyhwere else it says AGPx8 GOD HELP ME! i want to snap it in half now
 
just to let ya know (those who actually read the thread) it was a bad card, tried in other PC same deal so took back and exchange at best buy and now im screaming along at almost 13k in 3dmark 2003 :) now this PC should do me for another 18 months :)
