Please help me make up my mind.

These are my specs..

AMD64 3200@2.5
MSI K8N Neo2f
ATI X1950 Pro
1GB DDR400 of Corsair Value Select (2x512)

I want to buy some extra memory but I really dont know if its worth buying 2GB's of it.. All I do is browse .. and play CSS.. Shadowrun.. and I'm Dual Booting Vista Ultimate 32bit

My question: Would it be worth buying an extra 2gigs with my current specs? would an extra 1GB be enough for what I am doing? I can get another set of the same memory for 54 bucks.

You more than likely wouldn't notice any performance difference between 2 and 3 GB. You will notice it going from 1 to 2... or 1 to 3. If you're worried about cost, then you'd be happier going with only 2GB total.
 
Hey thanks, Cost was mainly my concern.. I really dont want to overkill espcially when i plan on upgrading in the near future
 
I should mention all my experience has been on Win2k/XP, where memory can go to waste. When it comes to Vista, it always uses all your memory, so more memory equals more items prefetched into it. So it doesn't go to waste. I still don't know if you'll see any performance difference with an extra GB in Vista, but most people I've talked to seem happy with 2GB in it.
