My corner desk is getting cramped with two LCD's, speakers, and all the other random crap I have on it, along with the hutch that came with the desk. I have a brand new recliner on the way to serve as my new computer chair, and so I'm looking to upgrade my desk.

I was just going to head down and grab one of the Ikea Jerker desks but a quick search led me to discover they were discontinued quite some time ago.

Here's what I'm looking for:

1) Something with a very "open", non-cramped design like the Jerker. I needs lots of leg room for my recliner.

2) Enough desk space (and strength) to hold let's say a 30" LCD and a couple of 20-24" LCD's.

3) Not insanely expensive.

I keep searching around on my own but 99% of what I'm saying is either expensive giant hardwood desks or cheap, craptastic little workstations that are far too cramped and tiny for my purposes.

I'm basically looking for something that could substitute for a Jerker.

I saw the Frederik when I was first looking for the Jerker. Since it seemed very similar to what I was looking for I did some searching and from what I can tell it's a substantially inferior version of the Jerker at roughly the same price point that Ikea brought in as a replacement.

I'll probably tag along when the girlfriend goes on one of her semi-regular trips down to the massive Ikea store up the highway and check it out, but so far my indications are that it's not worth the money.

As Corey mentioned, the Vika Amon stuff is good for the price. The Galant set is also nice, but pricey.

In my office, I have this desk setup (old pic):
Vika Amon + Vika Curry
Except I have different sizes: 59x29.5 (x1, $30) + 39.375x23.625 (x1, $10) + 9 legs ($5 each) = $85 + tax
Alot more space for the money. The tables are sturdy... they hold my 22" CRT nicely
