Hello.
Im debating between these 2 monitors atm and can't really tell wichone is better for gaming in general.
Option 1: Dell U2711

Option 2: Asus VG278H
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236206&Tpk=VG278

This is my current setup:
Case: Corsair Graphite Series 600T CPU: i7 SandyBridge 2600K @4.5
MB: ASUS Maximus IV Extreem B3 Ram: Corsair Domminator GT 8GB @2000Mhz
GFX: EVGA 580 GTX 3GB Version HDD: Samsung SSD 250GB
PS: Corsair HX1050

U2711 is not a gaming monitor. It is a wide gamut display (unnatural and inaccurate colours; games and movies use the sRGB colour space) with over one frame of input lag, low contrast and grainy AG coating meant for offices and noobies with money. If you like clear and vibrant whites+light colours that are not grainy, matte IPS panels should be avoided

If you want a 1440p IPS go with one of the Korean displays found here:
http://www.overclock.net/t/1215866/...g-90hz-achieva-shimian-qh270-and-catleap-q270

The basic models with dual-link DVI only are glossy and have low input lag. The ACHIEVA Shimian QH270-Lite is only 330$ for example. If you want more inputs be prepared to pay around 500$. More info here:

If you want a non-reflective 1440p w/o severe grain and can deal with the input lag get the Samsung S27A850D

If you will be playing lots of FPS games go with the Asus

How about U2410? how is that compare to other 24 inch monitors as far as casual gaming goes?
