1) What is your budget?
I'd like to keep it under $800 (after rebates is fine though)
2) What size notebook would you prefer?
Doesn't really matter.
3) What tasks will you be performing with the notebook?
email, forums, internet stuff, some games, just basic stuff
4) Will you be taking the notebook with you to different places or leaving it on your desk? Mostly it will stay at home. Maybe occasionally taking it somewhere but it will mostly be at home.
5) Will you be playing games on it; if so, which games?
Nothing too new, relatively simple graphics.
6) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
Anything would be great.
7) How many hours of battery life do you need?
Not a lot. A couple hours probably. If we are at home, we can plug it in if we want. We just really want it cause it's smaller and we want to be able to switch rooms and whatnot.
8) Do you mind buying online without seeing the notebook in person?
I think it depends on the notebook and where we were buying from.
9) What country are you buying this in?

Doesn't matter.
11) Do you want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen?
Glossy with as minimal reflectiveness as possible it doesn't really matter

I don't want it hideous but other than that, no.
13) How long do you want this laptop to last?
Forever, seriously, at least a couple years.

I would prefer 120GB, but in this price range, I wouldn't complain with a 40.
15) Do you need an optical drive? If yes, a DVD-ROM, DVD-CD/RW or DVD-RW drive? We want it to at least burn cds.
