Hi,

I have a 40gb drive that just died. Windows ran checkdisk and found many, many errors. Finally it wouldn’t even read the disk anymore. So I installed it as a slave on another Windows PC, I can see the drive under ‘My Computer’, but it can not access it.

Is there any way I can my data off that drive? Is there any software out there that can access this drive? Or is it totally dead?

TIA!!

Try GetDataBack, it's worked for me a few times unless the drive is too far gone.

I'll 2nd GetDataBack. It just helped me recover my Data and I had tried a LOT of other methods.

Just a update for future searchers...

Getdataback worked....it was able to recover most of my files.

Good tool.
