I just tried flashing the bios on my DFI ULTRA B lanparty board. Iused winflash everything went well. When my system booted up it hung after the IRQ screen. It wouldn't boot windows. I tried loading AWDFlash.exe using alt-f2 at startup, it couldn't find it for some reason on the floppy disk. I then loaded the setup menu and tried to use "CMOS reloaded" to restore a previous setting from before I flashed. System wouldn't reload so I turned it off.

The four leds are all lit up from the start, and the system doesn't boot, the power led doesnt go on but the hd led stays on.

I have tried using the cmos jumper to unload and reload the cmos, that wouldnt work. I tried removing the battery and replacing it, that wouldnt work. I tried both at the same time.

Any suggestions? I know theres a way from the floppy drive.

I'm going through the same crap, but with my gigabyte board..

Does your floppy even light up?
Try unplugging the power from the mobo and waiting with the cmos battery out for about 15 minutes...Or while the computer is turned on, short out the clear cmos jumper...If yours has a jumper, put a pin on it and try booting up...

thanks, DFI is mailing me a new bios for free, non of the boot romrecover methods worked. If the new bios doesn't work, ill RMA it to either Newegg or DFI.

Have you guys ever tried extracting the flash rom and the bios to floppy then reboot to floppy...... then flash........

just my 3cents.........

DFI sent me a new bios for free, I just got it yesterday. I put it in and my system works as it used to. Clean install. DFI rules.
