I have a brand new Powercolor ATI x1950 512Mb PCIE and as of about 30misn ago the LCD i have which is also brand new flashes off whilst the green LED stays lit and the game I'm playing continues with all sound etc then comes back alive, then 20secs later repeats the process. This can happen anytime within 10mins of playing. This is only happening in games. I have checked temp settings and they are at 52 Celsius full load.

I have removed my official Cat 6.12 drivers using drivercleaner and reinstalled them and its till happening, this is driving me crazy!

Can anyone suggest something or ha anyone seen this before?

My LCD is a Viewsonic 20" LCD and all ym equipment is 1month old. The motherboard is an ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe with the latest bios.
 
my friend had a problem like that, except it would happen at miscelaneus intervals, I think his LCD was set to turn off after so often, I dunno, may check the settings.

It's definately not the timming on the lcd, as nothing has changed since last night and these wierd occurances happened today.
 
Okay, it's a X1950, but which one? Pro, XTX or the Crossfire Master? If you have the XTX/Crossfire Master, you need a good PSU. Please list out more information about your computer.

I've tried that and no luck... I'm thinking this may be a power issue or even worse lcd, what do you guys think? The timming couldnt be worse - the wkd :(
 
Different Cable?
Different Port on Videocard? try VGA on LCD?
Different LCD?
Different Computer?
Different Video card?

Test a few and see which fixes the issue

I have replaced the card with an exact same model and brand from a friend and its not occurring. He is using my card and its also working for him, since the swap i haven't eno!!!!ed any problems. It's all very strange...
