As the title states asus anti surge is getting trigerred on my system. The specs are in my sig.
built it 2 months ago and never had problems with it,untill few days ago.i updated my bios to 1616 and immediately it was triggered.so i flashed back to 1606(was running 1606 before).ran fine for a few days after that untill yesterday when i was gaming.so i turned it off and ran today, and same thing when gaming.i m confused whether it is the MB/PSU.
also do improper grounding can cause surging?
please help!!

Are you running the CPU at stock speeds? Realistically it shouldn't be triggering at all.

everything is a stock.
i never even tried oc untill i get better cooling.
can there be problem with the motherboard sensor?
FYI the triggering is caused by the +5V line.
also they are random.
i have been running the system for some time now and there has been no problems.

Swap in a different power supply, or use a power supply tester. Also it could potentially be the wiring in your house. A UPS is good for adding extra filtering.

I have another psu,but it has got only a 4 pin eps connector instead of the 8 required in the z77v.will that work just for the timebeing?

4 pin should still power it. How often do you see the surge warning? Run the other supply for as long as you think it will take rule out a bad supply.

Thank u so much karech!!! Seems that my psu is at fault.i swapped in the other psu and everything seems to run fine.cant believe such a reputed brand have such qc.

Well. Sometimes errors happens after something's gone through QC. I know, I worked in the business, and even though we checked everything before stuff went out the door, it could still break when the customer powered it up.

just an update!i sent the psu for rma and they sent a replacement within 1 hour.KUDOS SEASONIC!!

sorry for double post.
but the problem started just after flashing to bios 1616.i guess if there if there are any bugs in it.
