Hi all,

My motherboard is a EVGA X58 FTW3 132-GT-E768-TR LGA 1366 Intel X58 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

my CPU is a Intel Core i7 quadcore 960 @ 3.2GHz, and I have 16 GB RAM.

I am just looking for a super quick and easy way to overclock my CPU, perhaps up to 4.0GHz. I have read through some beginner guides and they all still seem over my head. Is there like 1 or 2 numbers I can change in my BIOS in order to overclock my CPU a little bit without having to go through 50 steps?

You're genuinely trying to make your CPU run faster than it's meant to (in many cases, at least). There's no quick and easy way that doesn't end in potential disaster. Only the right way and the wrong way. If reading isn't helping your comprehension of how to do it, check out tutorials on YouTube. That's what I did years ago, until I started grasping the fundamentals (and honestly, it took me awhile too).

Evidently, there's a feature called Dummy OC in the BIOS that will help you automagically OC. I'm using a similar feature on my Asus mobo and it worked fine (though mine had a setting for 3.6Ghz, 3.8Ghz and 4Ghz). It looks like you just have to give it a percentage to OC. From the review:

EVGA Dummy O.C. automatically overclocks the CPU based on a specified percentage. With EVGA Dummy O.C., overclocking can be done with the selection of one BIOS setting, making it easier than ever before to squeeze more performance out of your system.
