Heres my favorite from a set a just shot, more will come just wanted to show one.

Film is 50 ASA fugichrome

I'd love to critique your photograph but it's too small here and too big there.

Resize it to something between 500-800 pixels in it's widest dimension...

looks out focused.

I agree with this, the butterfly should have been completely focused. If you would have opened the aperature up to like 1:16+ and focused to the butterfly only, the background would have been a little bit cleaner and clearer so you can tell what the flowers are, but yet blurred enough to bring direct attention to the buttefly.

EDIT: Keep in mind that I'm not a photography pro.. this is just what I think.. :p

what is....film?

lol

the shot looks OK.

i would have liked at least the body of the BF to be in focus more....

also..there seems to be alot of little black spots. i dunno if its dust on the film when the shot was taken, or if thats how it was scanned in, but it is annoying

I like the composition with the butterfly on the right and not having anything really interfering with it. I also like how the frame is balanced with the flowers in the middle and the left side.

But technically, I feel you missed the spot to focus - the butterfly.

Another technical suggestion I have...I feel the use of a circular polarizer would have benefited you with controlling the exposure of the sky.

And a technical inquiry...which medium telephoto lens did you use for this shot? The airy-spacey feel created by this perspective fits the photo well. Though with a good angle a wide angle lens could also provide a pleasing view.

Cheers.

lense is a Nikkor 28-70

I shot this with the N50 so it probably autofocused on the tip of the flower the butterfly is on, all in all though its a very pleasing picture when put about 5-8 feet away because the butterfly almost comes into focus.

Hopefully more uploaded today
