Hi, sorry to bug everyone with yet another build critique post but I'm about to purchase parts for a new build in a day or so and I'd like to hear everyones opinions on the parts I'm going to get. I already have a case and a some DVD drives. This new computer will be used mostly for gaming and I only have a budget of about $650. I'm only buying a Geforce 7300GT right now till hold me off with light gaming till I can afford a 8800gts

Also has anyone used the Bill Me Later option at Newegg? I have good credit and paying it off won't be a problem as I have most of the cash, just wondering if the Bill Me Later option is an ok method to use. Thanks again!
 
Looks good. I hope you can get the 8800 soon, it'll be a sweet rig. :)

However, I can't help you on the Bill Me Later feature.
 
Yeah, looks fine. The only thing I would change is the ram. This set is $10 more, but it has D9 D9GMH IC's, which are alot better then the SpecTek ones that Geil ram has when it comes to oc'ing.
 
For $702.04 (includes Shipping) plus a 25 MIR making it $677.04 you can make some changes and get you 8800GTS now and not reduce your overall performance much....

The DS3 is a great board to build upon i would keep that...

DDR2-800 is so cheap lately ($90 or less for 2GB kit, sometimes without MIR -- look at Corsair and G.Skill in particular) there's really no reason to buy 667. All depends on what processor you plan to use, of course.
 
Well i agree if he decides to get a proc with a 1066 fsb that ddr 800 is important...On the other hand if he gets the e4300 with a 800fsb by default he can OC it very easily with 667 and the extra money spent on ddr800 is a waste since his budget is 650....the difference between 58 and 90 is pretty large considering the fact that most 667 ram will easily oc to 800 anyways... again ddr 667 runs at 333 and the e4300 has a multiplier of 9...making it 3ghz..pretty nice for a $115 dollar chip...
