the current pc is a xp2800+ with 512mb of ram. the gfx card is either a 9200 or a 9200se. is it worth upgrading to a 6200 , will i see noticible gains in cs:source.
 
If you are lucky to find a 6200 that unlocks into a 6600, then it may be worth it. But I would say wait until you save up to get a 6600GT.
 
nnah the 6600 is a bit to exspensive. its agp btw.is the 6200 better than a ati 9550 or plain 9600

I'd agree.

I normally like Nvidia cards, but I wouldn't go for the budget 6200.

Just seems weak.
 
In this case, Newegg has the 9800Pro brand new at newegg for 129$ and its a 256bit card. Otherwise neweegs refurbished section is your friend. Look for 9700Pros, 9800Pros, mabey a 5900XT(I know I know, but it would be a world better than what he has) 6600, or a 6600GT if you can stretch it

6600s are pci-e only atm so thats out of the question for a AXP system :(

my best bet would be to save some money slowly and upgrade to something thats reasonable
