PlayON in a VM?

Anybody using PlayON in a virtual machine? I currently have it running in a virtualized Windows 7 OS on Hyper V 2008 and it works, though it's spotty. Of course, PlayOn *itself* is spotty, so I'm not sure whether to think it's the fact that it's virtualized or just think "Oh yeah, that's how PlayON is!" :)

Experiences?

I had PlayOn in an XP VM (under VMware Workstation 6.5) when I was on the trial period. Since purchasing it, I'm running it directly on my main Win7-64 machine.

It seems to perform pretty similarly in both situations for me. It works pretty well overall, but sometimes there are just issues. It's hard to say if the issues are the software itself our from one of the sources it pulls content from. I have to stop and restart the service occasionally.
