The HDD, Seagate, on my sons computer just bit the dust. Seagate replaced the HDD and now after reloading the software I have a question. I have installed WMP11 and we are not able to hear any sound when playing a DVD. I have heard or read somewhere about needing a codec or something like that for this to work.
I am hoping someone might be able to help me out here as far as how to make this work.
I am likely not in the right forum here and if not please feel free to move this thread.

Thanks,
Lon

MPC works well, especially in combination with codecs, and VLC is pretty self-sustainable. For the audio spectrum, you might need something like AC3Filter.
