playing console (Wii) on PC?

I have a video card with VIVO support, anyone know if it's possible to play Wii on PC through that?

If not, what other options are there for such job? I've heard of Adaptec and Startech GameJockey, but they both seem to be pretty bad products.

meh, something about the video card's poor handling of things like that to the point that the video lags behind the actions...not very suitable for videogames

im sure someone will be in here in a bit to prove me (right or wrong)
 
Yeah, it's just not worth it, usually. There's too much of a delay. It's not a problem if you're watching TV, but if you're actually playing video games, then there is a situation because the action moves about 1 second behind what you're doing with the controller.

The only real solution at this point is to find a monitor with component inputs, I suppose.

vga adaptors :)
 
someone recommended me to use a dvi kvm... but that thing costs over $200, way too expensive =\

after some research... seems the cheapest/easiest method right now would be using a wii component cable attached a component->vga adaptor. dunno if the quality would be good though.
 
Component to VGA would give you good quality. They are about $60.

The adaptec Game bridge will also work, about $20, but the quality won't be as good. The adaptec game bridge is a USB device with S-cable & composite inputs that connects to your pc. From reviews most people say there isn't a lag issue.

The Component to VGA adapter would be the best option though.

One thing to consider is that the Wii sensor bar doesn't work that well when your too close.
