With these vid cards you can hookup 2 monitors at once eh?
so....is it possible to have like world of warcraft runnin on one and then have like my english assignment open up on the other and then liek hotkey from monitor to monitor? cause that'd be sweet
 
Yes and no...

For example, on my 6800 ultra i have 2 monitors hooked up. I have them set as "dualview"

i essentially have an extended desktop. I can put all my Instant messaging programs and such and even maximize programs on one monitor an then open up a game and have it maximized on the other. so technically yes you could have one thing on one monitor and hte game on the other. Problem being is your still only have 1 PC and one mouse and keyboard. Only one of the 2 programs will be the active program, so you would still have to alt tab out of the game to go to the word document or what ever, and that will minimize your game but then you have access to the word doc....
