I have lots of cd's that are 'cd extra' or 'enhanced cds'.
I am running windows XP.
Is there anyway to play the audio content of these cds instead of them being detected as data cds (pics etc)?
Cheers
p.s (got winamp and windows media installed atm)

Do you mean just for the autoplay? If you open one of the programs it should play fine (I have a couple Fuel "enhanced" CD's that do).

I use WMP for CD's....just click on the playlist drop down box and move it to the CD-drive. It should detect the tracks and start playing normally.

If I had winamp auto-play cd's that would also work. However, I can figure out how to get winamp to play if it's not autodetect...since there's no visible tracks to add to the playlist.

Anyone know how?

...I can find no way for winamp or wmp to detect any audio tracks, adding cd to playlist in winamp just plays the 'bonus data - videos etc'. Neither player detects the orignal audio.

To get Winamp to play a enhanced CD do this: right click on Winamp, go to the Play menu, pick "AudioCD X:" where X is the drive your CD is in. Winamp will then load all the audio tracks into a playlist and query CDDB for track titles if you have that option enabled.
