No questions asked .. I love it, look.

btw I paid $85 for these, so they're not cheap.

About 4 months ago I bought some DSP 400s from my local Best Buy. Yesterday afternoon when moving my desk around I dropped my headset, it got caught on chair and the cord ripped from right underneath the sound adjuster. I absolutely love my DSPs, and was wondering if its possible to return these for a replacement ? Would I pay for shipping ? Is this possible ? Whats the warranty (if any) ?

Response ...

The DSP headsets carry a 1 year warranty. If you have had the unit for 30 days or less please return it to the original place of purchase for exchange. If it has been over 30 days, then please send the unit to our service center for replacement.

Please include your name, address, telephone number, and proof of purchase along with the unit. If it is within warranty there will be no replacement charge. Thank you.

Good customer service = return business.

Good to hear they're honouring the warranty, especially since it happened in an accident. I just bought the .Audio 90's because they were cheap (compared to the Sennheiser PC150's) but I'd read alot about the 90's mic dying so it's good to know they'll cover it if it goes on the fritz.

Ya, actually I used to own the a90s, they're great ... but not USB. I love the fact my DSPs are usb, easy to switch back and forth, but cost a bit more

I hate plantronics. I bought a pair of .90s and - WOW - uncomfortable. Nice hard cloth 'phones that -sits- on your ear. :/ Plus, my mic went out but I figured their too shitty to send it into warranty..

So, now I got a nice pair of Bose Triports - the grey one, with a cheap 1998 clip-on mic. Funny thing is, this mic is about 60% louder and about 20% more clearer. And my bose 'phones are hella comfortable. Nice squishy soft leather-velvet type material that actually encloses your entire ear. And the sound is as good as my home theatre system except for the 5.1 surround sound. Couldnt get the bass to crackle at all here.

plantronics are pretty good. i mean i use sony studio phones i burgled from my dads studio, but from what ive heard of them, theyre good

The difference in quality between the .90s and DSP is unmistakable. Plus the 400s are fully collapseable and can fit in my pocket.

I like many of their higher-end models... they're just too fragile. The mic on my HS1 (predecessor to the Audio90) broke, so I just use it for music around the house now.

The A90s and the Triports can't be compared because they're in a completely different price range. A90s are <30 while the Triports are 100+. Plantronic headsets are known to not function after a while, but they let u RMA them quickly. This is a sign of a good company that will replace a broken product. Personally, I have had my A90s for over a year with no problem. A lot of people that break their headphones are the ones that run over the wires, or drop them a lot.

plantronics makes quality products although I know hundreds of people in which their a90's and dsp's randomly stopped working. Luckily my DSP lasted a full year although my a90's lasted barely a week.

Plantronics makes several grades of headsets. Plantronics got their start making headsets for commercial use (aircraft, call centers, etc.) and they are *still* THE headset for call center use (or aircraft use). The midrange and higher headsets are the exact models used comercially (as I said, primarily in call centers) but with different connections (hence the longer warranty). The DSP-500 (Plantronics' best PC headset) has an MSRP of $109.95 and is actually much better than the headset *I* used to wear on call center duty (which is also available for PC use as the DSP-200). However, the list of dealers carrying the DSP-500 is not very long; however, the fact that the DSP series plug into USB ports (and not sound cards) makes them truly sound-card-independent (*WHOA*).
