Planar is a major manufacture of product for many other LCD makes. They, like Envision/AOC are not brand names. Some people have to have a brand name or there are no bragging rights
Monitors Direct has reviewed the Planar 19 and seem to like it a lot, Ive seen it and I agree.
No ghosting? Naww..its an LCD, there is always some measure of ghosting, I think everyone will agree with me on that. Its a nice looking unit at its price, give it a try.
