I just got a NEC 20WMGX2 and noticed a strange, but fleeting texture. I researched on this forum and discovered that it was called pixel-walk

I made a program that blinks every other vertical line of pixels every other refresh (with a gray value of 128).

On the middle vertical third of the screen I blacked out the first and second pixel of every vertical four pixel set.

On the bottom vertical third of the screen I blacked out the third and fourth pixel of every vertical four pixel set.

This is what it looks like while it is running on my NEC:

The top third zoomed in looks like this:

The middle and bottom third zoomed in:

Same zoom on my Dell 2007WFP:

I tried the Lagom.nl test, and images 2 and 4 both blink a lot on the NEC (and 3 has the wave), but are all solid on my Dell.

How much does this effect vary from panel to panel within the same model of monitor? This is the first time I've noticed it.

I saw pixel walk on my unit as well. Overall, it did lots of tests poorly on lagom.nl. It did have some other issue though and has already been sent off for RMA repair so I can't test any further. In any case, after receiving the 20wmgx2 but using the lcd2490wuxi daily, I was quite underwhelmed by it's performance. I only hope things improve tremendously after the repair because whatever state it was in is pretty unacceptable to me. For a monitor so many are raving about, I'm surprised at how much trouble it has with the lcd tests on that website.
