I Have an x800xt, but i need pixel shader 3.0 due to he games such as splinter sell that require it..

i currently use ati x800xt pc3200 AGP 256 mb, and am looking for some advice on a card that will have shader 3.0 and be atleast a little bit of an upgrade from the x800xt...

an thoughts? i thought of the x1600 pro, but ive been told the x800xt puts it to shame...

again, looking for an agp ati card that is atleast as good or better than the x800xt with shader model 3.0 support.....

thanks!

as far as price range, i guess i want to spend as little as possible, but i do want an upgrade...

someone suggested a 3870, but i cant find an agp 3870 on ebay...

If you want to keep it AGP, then the x1950 pro agp version would be your best bet.

Well it looks like the AGP 3850 is about to hit shelves why not jump straight to that.

Probably because retailers will assrape agp users like always. That would[/b] be the best card available on agp, though. Especially if it comes with 512mb vram

Probably, but remember that the X1950PRO in AGP didn't cost much more than it's PCIe counterpart. If it costs less than 240 or 220, it would be nice.
