I'd like to know if the reworked IMC and/or StoreMI in series 2, ex. a 2600, is significant under any application. Or is the better performance all due to being faster.

If a 1600X and a 2600 ran at exactly the same speeds are there any applications where a noticeable difference would be attributed to the series 2 IMC or StoreMI?
