allright maybe it's a reaaaaal n00b question if it is so, sorry for that.

I'am on a common adsl connection, we used to have a isp provided router/modem (a speedtouch, don't know the type), since 2 months I have a laptop so I wanted to network wireless around the house, went out and bought a Linksys WAG354G Wireless-G adsl home gateway (http://www1.linksys.com/international/product.asp?coid=6&ipid=764)), from that point on I have a problem with Ping, I used to play css and q3 when I refreshed the server list I got server's with a reasonable ping (7 - 50) but with the new router I get pings over 100+ when a refresh a big list. (when I refresh only a 1 server at a time I get the low ping again), ingame ping is low, not as low as it was with the speedtouch, but still good playable. When I ping a website orso using the ping cmd in the cmd windows I used to get a ping of 10 of lower, after the upgrade I get a ping around 25, is this something in the settings of the router or is it me being n00b?

// btw sorry for my spelling error's I'm dutch :D

It may be that you have poor wireless signal, which is causing re-transmits. Try hooking your computer directly to your router via a networking cable (cat5 cable). See if this helps; if so, you know its the wireless and not the actual router.
