Pin mod for Socket 771?

Check 2cpu.com, it's out there to mod the 266 fsb chips to 333, conductive pen mod.

it can be done. Use window defogger repair kit. Like we used to back in the days of AMD XP Palaminos. Its really no different than the 800->1066 and 1066->1333 pin mods for Conroe/Allendale/Kentsfield.

changing voltage won't change speed. unless you have a way of further changing fsb, you're out of luck.

as for how to do voltmods/bsel manipulation, goto intel's website and get the datasheet pdf. then look at the sections for vid and bsel.

afaik, there's no programming in the bioses to accept 400fsb yet, so doing such a mod with reserved bsels won't get you anything.
 
Er... What? Why do people even bother changing the voltage if it doesn't change the speed? I increased the voltage on my Athlon and it went up a bit in speed... :confused:

a voltage increase can help you increase speed. however, changing voltage doesn't mean a change in speed. you have to do that yourself.
