Hey all. I recently bought an old Albatron KX18D-ProII. Right now I have a old pos Dell Dimension 8200 (with the 533mhz fsb). I read on the dell forums that dell made funky proprietarily pinned psu's that could/would fry a mobo not made by dell (i couldn't verify this anywhere, if anyone knows anything different please lmk!)
So, I've been nosing around for a cheap PSU/case to stick the stuff in, and I know that this mobo has a 20 pin connector. Most of the new PSU's however, have either a 24 pin, or a 20+4 pin main mobo connector. Are the 20+4 pin connectors ok for older mobo's, so long as you have room for the extra pins to hang off? Thanks so much in advance for the wisdom!
