I cant decide whether to get a 22" or a 24" LCD.
I can get a IPS 22" or a TN 24" (which works out to be cheaper).

Im currently using a 17" IPS LCD, so any jump, whether to 22" or 24" will be big. But I dont want to regret getting a 22" which 24" is the "next current thing" and it seems to be staying for a long time.

Does anyone have pics of 22" and 24" side by side?

btw awsome forum, definitely the biggest "Displays" sub-forum I have ever seen...:D

Perhaps not what you were asking for but something at least:

(in real life the size differences seem bigger :p)

The 22" WS has a tad low resolution (the same as 20" WS), as you can see on the "pixel density" in the link above. If the 17" has pivot maybe it would match quite well to the 24" :)

The biggest reason (for me) to get the 24" would be the resolution, but thats me. The 22" IPS is a better monitor.

21" vs. 24." And the 21" is off. You'll have to use your imagination. :D

Yea, bigg difference. I am going from the Samsung 226BW to the LG 26" W2600HP-BF, i will have it next week.

Pls keep in mind that these two have almost the same res: 1920x1200 for the 24" and 1920x1080 for the 22" Iyiama. Your samsung only has 1680x1050.

Heh the 22 has better colors (real) the 24 is to saturated oops didn't see it was 2475w its normal ;) fwiw the black level is alot better on the HP

The size difference is considerable IMO and I find I much prefer the 24" real estate. I also prefer 16X10 dimensions over 16X9 (which is the Iyiama pictured above). BTW, my Sammy's resolution was what I preferred when I got it over 2 years go.....at the time, I wasn't sure my old video card could handle the higher pixel count for gaming. Now I have a 8800 gt.
