Hey guys,

what are the most reliable, powerful and quietest (aka no whining noise ) Pico PSU and power brick???

I seriously have no knowledge when it comes to this type of product
please help me out!

PS. cant wait til trinity to come out, gotta do my homework now and be ready when it is released!

Thanks,
KeymaN

i use a 80w iirc with a 60w power brick and dont hear a single thing from it what so ever - its actually scary sometimes as the machine its in (my pfsense) makes no noise so its like its not on :D

also, make sure to get a genuine pico-psu

yep they're typically absolutely silent -- the only noise I've ever heard from the pico was from one of the larger power bricks that had a fan in it which turned on when it was at max capacity... really annoying!

I believe the picoPSU-160-XT is the most "powerful", but depending on your usage you might not need it. My beefiest (mind you, not that outrageous, but if you're powering it off a picoPSU you're probably not running 95+W TDP processors) mini-ITX system peaks out around 48W and idles at 14W, so the 90W green units I use are extreme overkill.

Bricks should all be silent for these power supplies.

So my next question would be
Where can I find the genuine pico-psu and the power brick?
And what is the maximum power that can be purchase at the moment?
