Picking a CPU for first DICE run

Have a EP45C-UD3R coming to me, and a DICE pot. Have 2x1gb OCZ 1200Mhz 5-5-5-15 ram. Trying to find a good CPU tha will rack me up a bunch of hwbot points. Thinking of getting a high end Celeron D and aiming for 7.5Ghz+, since there are plety there at 8Ghz+, and they are cheap.

For daily use however, I have a nice water setup, and would like something actually quick. E7400 is $100 at microcenter, and should get some nice clocks, but only enough to net me ~15 points if Im lucky.

Any ideas anyone? Will probably grab a celeron to toy with anyway, and practise on.

Have you looked into the 352 at all? Also sometimes you can pull a 775 celeron lot off ebay for cheap

dice = dry ice. He wants to massively overclock a cheap CPU.

Correct, I have a shop 5min from me that sells DICE.

Ive been looking on ebay, and can grab a 356 for $28 shipped buy it now. Put a $15 bid on a 352 though, waiting for it to end before I consider the other one.

Im trying to find a nice C2D/C2Q however, to use daily (and torture as well). Ill be at Microcenter next weekend (with a fresh pay ) and am trying to decide if I should get one there or not. They have,
E5200 $60ish
E7400 $100 (may have gone up to $110)
Q9400 $160

Or if I should look around at something else used.

Im not too worried on the daily use chip. Will probably only have this setup a couple weeks anyway (will most likely keep it as a back up though, and to test other chips that come my way). Then go back to i7. Either a 920 D0, or 950 depending on how money will be.

Im thinking E6300 might be a decent cheap chip for good clocks. Any thoughts?
That or E5400 for the 13.5 multi.

Im getting the celeron to break in to the top 100 all time CPU-Z scores (hopefully).

Then Id like a decent CPU for daily use under water, hopefully that doesnt cost much.

E5400
E6300
E7400
E7600
Q9400

For $150, Id rather a quad since its for daily use, and media, not so much gaming.

Wish I knew more about extreme cooling, probably influence my recommendations for cpu's.
