I picked up one for my permanent video card and while I was at microcenter I decided to try a second on as well to see how crossfire X runs. Well I got the cards in and setup the fan speed to 30%. Temps are decent, but should be better once I put some AS5 on the video cards. I can tell you that ATI does have it right when it comes to dual monitor support and crossfrie X as I have at least 2 of my 3 monitors working right now. I might just keep it that way and sell off the other monitor or use it for another work staion. Overall I am just testing it out right now, but I do like what I see so far.
 
will do, what should I expect in terms of benchmarks with this setup?
 
Hey AthlonXP, can you confirm that 3 monitors does NOT work with CrossfireX?
 
wow! haha that mustve been quite expensive I would like to know how well 4870s are also since i plan on getting one :p

If you turn off CrossfireX then the 3 monitors work just fine. Now if you turn on CrossfireX you do still have 2 monitors working out just fine.
