I have a sata ii m/b that uses ICH10R and am leaning toward the Samsung. Any comments are welcome.

He's listing the older SATAII model. I don't have any experience with the Samsung model, but can recommend the Intel 320 for sure.
 
Unless you move large files skip the 510 and get the 320 Intel Series it has higher IOPs and is more affordable with a longer warranty too!

I have a 510 120gig and an Intel 80gig G2 and file transfer speed is not noticeable in real-world usage unless your doing a lot of it daily.
 
Actually, I will be working with Adobe CS5 video production and some of the files range in size from a few GB to 12GB.
Of course, the storage of those files will be on my HD's.
