PhysX Question

I kept one of my 680s as a PhysX card after getting a 980Ti and it gave me a nice boost in Arkham Origins when running the in game benchmark as apposed to having the 980Ti set to run PhysX. However, it did nothing for the Arkham City benchmark but I didn't test it much in game. With Arkham Knight I have no issues getting playable performance with the PhysX effects turned on but according to what I've read from other users it may not be providing a performance advantage over running PhysX on just the 980Ti.

Overall, I'd say it's worth a try keeping it for PhysX since it's nice having PhysX processed on a separate card but if you feel it's giving you a little to no performance advantage or don't even play many PhysX enabled games then selling it might be the better option.

I tried the PhysX thing with a spare Geforce 750. It was great in the very few games it worked in. Borderlands 2 had some pretty amazing extras in it.

But long story short I ended just sli'ing 2 980ti's and that's been good enough for me.

Most new cards/games don't need it at all. Current cards don't really need a dedicated card for this anymore.
