2. ATI chose not to hop on Physx as its choice for physics acceleration. If the market chooses Physx then ATI will either have to license the technology from Nvidia or allow customers to use an Nvidia card for physics acceleration. And since ATI never blocked this from happening I don't see why they would if the market goes that way and they choose not to license.

according to the last link, physx acceleration fell through on ati cards due to lack of support from amd to make it happen. so yeah, it was blocked, but amd seemed to provide legitimate concerns and reasoning for doing so.
