I am trying to test my 8800GT physx but cannot get cellfactor revoulution to run it does not detect a physyx card.I do have the phsyx working on my 8800. If anyone knows how to get this game working Help!.
Also where are the physx demos? Carwash etc I cannot find them at Nvidias site or anywhere else so far. Does anyone know any good demos games etc I can try? Thanks for any help.

your 8800gt isn't officially supported yet for physx. nvidia is supposed to release updated drivers for physx to work on your card later this month. not sure if all physx stuff will work on it though. wait and see.
 
I used the modded 177.35 INF and the nvidia sample physics work plus my score jumped up in Vantage 3d. Would that mean that the Physx is working?
 
Only UT3 and 3DMark Vantage work with GPU accelerated PhysX right now. You'll have to wait for the official release scheduled for later this month for more.
 
Latest drivers modded or not support only UT3, dark physic and vantage 2008.

You will have to wait a little longer for the full physx line, methink when nvidia release next drivers with G80 support...
 
Guess I'll have to pickup UT3 at Wally World tommorrow. Download the physx mod and try it. Thanks!
 
okay here is a question for you people. i have an 8800 right now and i'm going to be upgrading soon. so here is my question, can i put the 8800 in my second pcie slot (4x not 16x) and use that physx and use a 4870 for my gpu?

No idea mate, but my gut feeling tells me no.I'd be very surprised if nvidia would allow/support such setup, it's a company they're in the business of making money, in fact I bet they'll make every efforts to make physx work better on their new card line than any of their previous generations 8xxx or 9xxx.

Unlike Ageia which had nothing to lose working hard to create a new platform for physic, for fame and glory, eventually money.That is why I was always behind Ageia, more than Havok, Intel, AMD ideas...

Ageia like it or not pushed the physic API and hardware architecture farther in the same lapse of time than ATi, nvidia combined.After 2 years of bashing on PhysX, I see more titles supoprting physx hardware than DX10 games, more than havok FX with hardware support or ATi and nvidia.Yes the list was small but it was better than all the rest, Ageia was the only company with something to show for.

looks like nvidia support isn't a real problem at this juncture in the physx game. rest assured nvidia wants physx to succeed, and will do what is necessary for that to happen.
