Hello,

I just saw a thread here someone posting a video for borderlands 2 side-by-side video with and without physX. did borderlands 1 use PhysX too?

Is there a way to tell without asking? I mean if a game has PhysX and it's not working, would I get an error or something ?

If there are PhysX options within the video settings, it uses PhysX. Usually you'll see a PhysX advertisement as the game launches, no you will not get an error, as if your system does not support nVidia's PhysX engine (say, if you have an AMD card), it simply won't be utilized.

Borderlands 1 did not use the PhysX engine.

Hi BiH115, my card is not expensive but it has PhysX and I was impressed with borderlands 2 with PhysX on, plus borderlands 1 did ask for a missing PhysX dll which made me presume that it might be able to utilize PhysX. Thank you :)

What video card do you have? If it's not an Nvidia card that chances of running the game with PhysX enabled are slim to none. With an AMD card, you'll have to get some hacked together drivers to be able to run an nVidia card (as solely a PhysX computing card) in tandem, though I wouldn't guarantee it'll work. In order to run PhysX on the highest with a single Nvidia card, I'd recommend something decently modern, with a good amount of horsepower, such as a 660 at minimum for the new 6xx series, or a 470/480/560 ti (448 core)/570. These can all be found for quite cheap depending on where you look (craigslist would be my best bet).

Hi BiH115 it's GTS 450, you recommend I use CPU in my case to run PhysX, in the settings I have it on Auto, I have intel for CPU.

This is the one I saw or just another upload of it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EWFkDrKvBRU
