Guys,

Those of you that know a ton on PhysX, I'd like to tap that knowledge :D

I have 3 GTX 480's in SLi... and 2 8800GTX's sitting out. Should I maybe add another 8800GTX for that PhysX piece...right now I have the CPU doing the PhysX processing.

Need some advice... :)

GPU Physx is going to be a lot better than CPU Physx. Can you enable GPU Physx on the 480s or is that not possible to do when running SLI?

The 480's should handle physx fine no need for a separate card with that setup.

In the pictured rig, I would just dedicate one card for PhysX when playing one of the few games that uses gpu PhysX, and then switch back to tri sli for the rest of the games out there. I believe it as simple as a setting up a profile to switch back and forth easily.

This. Anything else is just a waste of time.

You have more then enough horsepower for both Tri-SLI and PhysX. Just run both and be happy :)
