I didn't know where to put this but. Could some one recommend me I good book for Photoshop Cs. I just got it yesterday and I want to learn more about the things it can do.

if your just starting out,
just experiment with stuff, go get a wallpaper and go crazy with it using effects and layers
. And look at all the tools and whatever else there might be and just experiment until you know what most things do.

Photoshop CS bible is very informative, but big and fullw ith info u might not need
check amazon.com alot of the hands on training books are good and strait to the point but basicly cycle thru amazon and check out the ratings for each book

i would take a class at a local community college or something. its fairly cheap and you will get a much better grasp of the basic functions which will allow you to do more.

I'd recommend that series, Deke McClelland is a good writer who injects a lot of humor into his stuff. Makes it more palletable than trying to follow dry tutorials.
