I have a friend who is getting into photography for a hobby and would like to learn more about basic camera theory & operation (she has a Maxxum 5D). She currently just uses the automatic features on the camera but has a desire to maximize the experience.

The problem is she claims no spare time for a course at our local Jr. College, so said course(s) would need to be online or software based.

Thank you for any suggestions.
 
If I remember right luminouslandscape has some basic how tos on the site.
