Hey,

I like to do photography on the side, but nothing major. Just random shots w/my digicam.

Anyway, someone may want me to do her portfolio. How much does one charge for something like that? :confused:
 
I would look at what the local competition charges, and try to make your prices competitive.
 
is this person a friend, or just someone that wants to hire you to make a site?

if it is a friend you might want to tell her about "Effective site studio". it makes it really easy to make simple easy to navigate gallery pages and there are tons of templates etc.
http://www.slackerserver.com/gallery/ is an example of a site made with ESS, and whenever i want to add more pics or whatever it takes about 5 minutes from start to finish
