This is spectrum T-Mobile purchased from Verizon for billions in order to get a rural foothold and better building penetration. TMo announced an aggressive implementation/expansion plan starting later this year.

Do current iterations of the S4, S5, Nexus 5, Note 3, etc support it? I'm looking for a bit of future proofing.

There isn't a single gsm phone with LTE band 12 yet as far as i know.

there is for CDMA side... maybe you could get some of these phones to work on GSM if they have a GSM radio? closest phone would be the Moto X which is supposed to have the hardware fro GSM, but not FCC approved :(

US Cellular owns some Band 12 spectrum, they have a couple of Band 12 phones

S3: http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SCH-R530MBBUSC-specs
LTE Quad-band : Band 2 (1900MHz), Band 4 (AWS), Band 5 (850MHz), Band 12 (700MHz)

Moto X (US Cellular version XT1055) also has band 12 support

S4 (US Cellular version SCH-R970) has band 12 support

Nexus 5 doesn't have band 12 support

don't think S5 or Note 3 has band 12 support in any variants
