Phoenix Super Fast Bios

lol none of that really matters if you never/rarely shut down your computer... (still, i must say this is very cool and LONG OVERDUE)
 
What these jerkoff's are really doing is trying to head off any "open source" bios effort. As he admits on the video, our CPUs are running 12 to 24 BILLION instructions per second, and still taking 10-15 seconds to get to booting windows.... what the hell is the damn CPU doing with all that horsepower? How bad does your bios software have to SUCK to waste that many electrons?

We need a good open source bios, enough of the pheonix/award nonsense, That old AtariST with the OS in rom took 5 seconds to boot, and that was just because the old scsi disk drives were so slow. Sheeesh.

Be happy that the open source movement got them to release a better product :)
