Phenom II X2 555 Intel equivalent?

I'm just curious as to what the closest Intel match is to the Phenom II X2 555?

The E7x00 line. The i3s beat it, and so do the E8x00s.
Unless it unlocks, then its up there with the Q8x00s and Q9x00s.

Depends on what you are doing, in games x2 555 would put the hurt to intel core 2 series. Other task the Intel cpu would win.

but these days buying a 775 socket cpu is an act of madness. i3 530 is only logical Intel within the x2 555 price range.

i wouldnt risk getting one. Spend the 10 bucks and get a 720 and unlock it

How does that make any sence? The 720s are C2s, and they only top out around 3.6Ghz or so at best, and are a lot slower stock (not to mention more expencive). The 555s will get 4.2 easy as a dual, and 3.9-4.1 unlocked.
