So I've got this Motherfucker at 3.8 19x200 with 1.47 Vcore,NB at 2.6GHz with 1.28v,HT link is stock at 2000 auto volts,it has passed 50 runs of IBT on maximum stress over night Idle temps are between 31C and 34C and it loads into the low to mid 50s,it was loading into high 40s and low 50s till one of the fans on my heatsink exploded, would you call that stable?

I would like to push it further, maybe to like 4.0GHz,just wondering if there is anything else I should try,I seem to get stuck at 3.9 19.5x200,It will pass 1 run of IBT but BSOD into the second run,I've given it as much as 1.52Vcore and it does not seem to make it any more stable than if I leave the Vcore at 1.47 still fails into the second run of IBT on maximum stress.

The blue screen message I get is general hardware failure.I've just recently changed out the RAM for 8GB of 1.5v 1600 mhz RipjawX and it is night and day from my 1.65v ocz gold,I had always wondered if it was holding back my OC cause when I would get a BSoD with it it was always a memory management error when it would crash.

OR have I hit the "wall"

Specs are in sig

the C2's hit a wall at 3.8 1.55v(yes you will need to run 1.55v to get 3.8Ghz stable). very few could break the 4Ghz.

if going to 1.55V doesn't help then lower the NB clock, 2.6Ghz is to high anyways for a C2 chip. try 2.4Ghz.

youve hit a wall as sirmonkey said, or your experiencing some sever vdroop with the voltage......

maybe try a higher multi lower bus speed?

well I set IBT to 100 runs before I left for work,3.8GHz at 1.47vcore,same as the previous 50 runs,It ran all the way through by the time I got home,12 hrs later, but still can not get 3.9 stable for more than 2 passes even at 1.55vcore,seems like it will just not work,I had some hopes since it was stable at 3.8 with some room to spare on the vcore, but to no avail.

Would you call it a stable OC?
I could run prime95 over night but from my understanding IBT is more stressful.

I thought about lowering the fsb,but my motherboard will not go lower than 200,oh well, the speed bump along with the NB bump seems to have made a world of difference, everything seems a bit snappier.

Thank for the input guys.

ya, 3.8 GHz seems to be what your chip is maxing out at..

i would say its stable with a 100 run of IBT

just run some more F@H on the bad boy to test for sure

i wish i could overclock :/ i have a 965 chip and i have no idea how to overlock i have done my share of googling but still havnt a clue
