Phase switch on a subwoofer

Hello
On the back side of my subwoofer a have a phase switch : rev or nor.
What is it?What should i set to?

Its basically there to help you blend the subwoofer to your main speakers. Depending on where you place the subwoofer, switching the phase will increase or decrease the bass at some frequencies.
If you dont have a SPL meter try playing some bass heavy songs and test at which setting the bass sounds stronger from your sitting position.
It helps to ask someone to change it for you while you listen.
