I purchased this monitor a couple of weeks ago from Microcenter. I have been happy with the performance in general but have this one issue that rears its ugly head every now and then. I able to temp fix the problem by power cycling the monitor. Is there some firmware that would correct this problem or should it be returned?

Please let me know what you think I should do with this one.

Cheers,
rj

I had that same problem with Steam it would have a Horizontal line in the middle... while scrolling I reinstalled Windows 10 and it was fixed with a motherboard and CPU upgrade.
too bad the QC is so bad with these monitors.....

Seems weird that would fix it. Both Asus and Acer have stated it is a gsync bug that requires a firmware update - from Nvidia themselves, handed down to Asus and Acer, from what it sounds like.
Users have reported that both the Asus and Acer 1440p gsync monitors have this issue. Once released owners of the panels will have to send their monitors in to an authorized repair center to have the firmware updated if they want it fixed.

Asus Support Please help me with my PG279Q

Since they still haven't fixed it. Maybe tell them your experience.

Thanks a ton for the info KG. I think that I'll just return rather than deal with a repair facility.
