Persona 6

On a whim (well after seeing this) I bought Persona 5 Royal for $20 I have tried once in the past to get into it on the PS5 and couldn't but feel like it is too well loved for me not to like it so gonna give it another go.
It is not for everyone. I could never get into the Persona games since the first one on PS1 and I was huge into JRPGs than. I just hate the art style of these games. It was the same with Metaphor: ReFantazio.

I'm a sucker for these games and quite enjoy the artwork for them, but even moreso the soundtracks. They're very Japanese, though.

Definitely felt darker 'Shin Megami Tensei' vibes from the trailer.

Is it the art style or the linear/time mechanic of the titles? I always felt that modern Persona looks like your typical modern JRPG (very anime-esque, like the Tales, Ys, or Xeno series).

I mean, the thing with P5R is that the first dungeon is practically the tutorial... and is also like literally 20 hours of gameplay. It is a beast of a game.

I hope this pumps spooky occult shit right into my veins.

Loved the urban gothic horror thing P3 had going on thematically.

The art style just really turns me off. It is nothing like the art style of Tales, Ys and Xeno games. I love those serise. I even like the trails games eventho the newest one seem to finally burnt me out. The time mechanics also turn me off.
