I have several ESXi and Xen hypervisors running on CentOS 5.8 x64 connected to an OI + napp-it SAN via Dual Port Intel Pro 1000 PT nics using round-robon MPIO.
From guest VMs on the ESXi boxes I can get 243MB/s read and 247MB/s write to the SAN but from guest VMs on the CentOS boxes I can only get 147MB/s read and 210MB/s write.
CentOS is configured for RR MPIO and i've tried changed the number of ios from 100 / 10 / 3 / 1 in multipath.conf with the best numbers apprearing when set to 1.
Has anyone any pointers of performance tuning iScsi on CentOS with multipath and Intel Pro 1000 nics?
Thanks.
