I am looking for some software to test various areas of my PC. Is there any software out there that I can use that will test different aspects of my PC?

I especially would like to focus on Hard drive transfer rates, Optical transfer speeds. I would also like to to be able to test various configurations of RAID arrays.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what will work?

HDTach, I guess, is still widely used for benchmarking hard drives. And though I very rarely have need to test opticals, when I do I've used Nero CD Speed.

HDTach worked well for the hard drives, but now I need a program to test the CPU/Mobo/RAM combo.

Edit: I found this page

What exactly are you looking to do? Benchmark? Stress test?

If you just want performance numbers, SANDRA and Everest both contain modules to benchmark the various subsystems. If you're looking to stress your components to check stability, try Prime95, SP2004, or another similar program. The 3DMarks are good for stressing your video hardware.
